Default 1992 Vortec 4.3 CPI Grrrrrrh ........

My Blazer has been the love of my life for 4 years now. Three weeks ago it stalled and has not started since, unless fuel is poured into inlet manifold. So done all the usual things (new fuel pump and filter) checked preasure at schrader valve .. 60 ish ... checked spider (new FP regulator) no leaks in inlet valley ... phew.... replaced ecm spider and all relevent sensors. Soooo as its still not working I thought I might go down the engine change road and put a Camaro/Firebird 305ci in (from a doner vehicle so got all harness etc) What I need to know is does anyone or has anyone done this conversion. The reason I am asking is that all the info I seem to obtain (forums , V8S10.com ) talk about conversions to tbi models and I am prepared to go down that root (tbi ) but mine is cpi so I am concerned that harness's will be different (or not) I know its not going to be easy and I would like it to be factoryest as possible. The truck is to good to scrap and I love it. This all might seem a bit dramatic but the decision I make is paramount as here in the UK parts are few and far between especialy for cpi.
Thanks for reading this and if there is any advise you could offer I would be much obliged.
Happy S10ing
Nigel
