i've had a code 32 now for a couple months. cleaned air idle control valve, egr valve checked, one piece of carbon in one segment of metal screen.
vehicle idles REALLY high in both neutral and park. like 2500rpm i would wager.
i thought symptoms of bad egr were sluggish idle.
any thoughts what this could be?
and i've experienced about a 10-20 percent decrease in fuel economy.

take a vacuum reading. Open egr gives low/stalling idle. Sounds like a bad vacuum leak. What I would do: Take off both booster vac line and acc vacuum lines off the intake and plug them to see if the problem persists. If it does then its not any of them and its a vacuum leak from the engine or the IAC has gone bad.
