3.8l 2 replace blown 2.8l
was wondering if anyone has any experiance with a swap like this i found a built 3.8l for a good price and want 2 put it in my 84 blazer the 2.8 is blown

The common swap is to a 3.4L which is a drop in replacement. If I remember right, there were some things with the 3.8L engines that were quite different from the other 60* v6 engines. I know that they were offered in RWD applications with conventional mounting (Camaro/Firebird), but I distinctly remember there being a difference that prohibited or at least made it so it was not worth the effort to use in this type of swap.

the moter i fond has the distributor in the front im not sure if its a 3.4 or a 3.8 but its backed by a turbo 350 trans but i dont know for sure how 2 distinguish wat moter it is

The 2.8 is a 60 degree motor, the 3.8 is a hybrid. If memory serves me correct it has the 60 degree cyl banks but uses a 90 degree bell housing bolt pattern. It can be done but its gonna be a big PITA.
Easier to do is a 3.4 out of a 93-95 f-body.
