i have a 1993 blazer with a cpi motor in it that is blown. i have a spare 1997 tbi motor can i put this motor in the 93 using a painless harness and the 97 computer will it work or im i retarded???

97 TBI?? Are you sure it is a TBI motor... What did it come out of?

If it is a SCFI motor, I would pass. It would be a LOT of work.

it came out of a 97 jimmy i think its a tbi maybe its not but it looks like it has a throttel body i dont know a lot about these motors how do i know if its a scfi???

If it came out of a 97 Jimmy, it is the newer SCFI motor. The problems you will run into is the integration of the PCM into the Jimmy. And you cannot simply do an intake swap either unless you were to have the heads redrilled.
