After the filter, no point in blowing tank crud into the gauge. Happy new year!

Alright so I pressure tested from the fuel filter and there was no pressure, it stayed at zero. And come to think of it, when I bought it I filled the tank all the way and it started leaking from the top where the fuel pump is, my fuel gauge also doesn't operate correctly, it stays either above half a tank or the needle goes past full, out of sight. Is it my fuel pump or do I just need to drop the tank and tighten everything up, because i do here the pump come on.

Don't go buy a fuel pump yet. Carefully drop the tank and inspect the wiring harness and hoses.

Something is not right with the test. I don't believe it physically possible for you to get a momentary 60psi test at the test port whenever you turn the key on, but get absolutely nothing when you connect the gauge to the filter. They are the same line. Picture getting water out of the end of a hose when you turn a faucet on. But when you disconnect the hose from the faucet and turn it on, no water comes out of the faucet. That's not possible. Reconnect the filter and then take your measurement at the test port again. If you are getting ANY pressure at the test port, you have to get pressure when you're connected to the filter or you're not connecting something correctly.

Let me point one thing out, after you turn the key on, you want to bleed off any air from the gauge using the bleed button on the gauge itself. Then turn the key off (fuel pump should come on again), bleed air again if you need, then turn the key back on and take your reading.

You guys are awesome, thank you both. I figured it out. The fuel pump gasket (or o ring) was leaking on top of the fuel tank. I took down the gas tank (with a full tank of gas lol) and cleaned up the surface where the fuel pump was and then reseated the gasket and put of sealant on it, then I tightened down the fuel pump and reinstalled the tank. It was definitely a biotch but I'm glad it was something so what simple. I'm thinking the fuel pressure regulator was what brought the pressure up to 60 psi at the front port but then because there was basically little to no pressure at the tank it dropped to zero. I could be wrong but I tested the connections for leaks and check all the fuel lines for kinks. It's started right up and I waited about an hour after and it fired up again. I'm going to wait about two hours and try again, hopefully the problem is solved.

Credit goes to Rusty Nuts and his recommendation to drop the tank. My nuts are rusty, but I'm not Rusty Nuts! . Glad you solved your problem.
