Default Excessive fuel consumption

Hi everyone i am new here and have a question. My blazer is a 94 6 cylinder engine, four door. The fuel consumption on my car is irregular, at times i can get close to 300 miles per full tank and other times about 200. Is there anything that can explain such erratic behavior or is it the gas brand i use? When i first noticed i thought it was because of the arco gasoline i used, so i changed and my mileage went up now i use anything but arco and my mileage is going down again.

Welocme! Interrmittent issues are always the toughest to figure out. I have owned two vehicles that had bad fuel economy issues and both times there was a leak in the fuel supply system. Not saying thats your issue but worth looking at.

Miles per tank is actually a pretty useless way of looking at fuel usage. Do a miles per gallon computation over ~4 tankfuls and give us the figure.
