Default fuel in cylinders

i have a 1993 s10 blazer with cpi i just recently put a new motor in it. i went to crank it over and it cranked for a second then stopped. i rolled the engine over by hand and had a ton of gas come out of the exchaust manifold. what would cause the cylinders to fill with gas. the fuel pump runs for two seconds then shuts off when the key is turned on. please help

That'd be you're spider injector unit failing. More specifically, probably the fuel pressure regulator and/or the internal fuel supply and return lines. All is located under the upper intake plenum. Use the search function and see what u turn up. Remember you have cpi not csfi, That was used on models '95 and up I believe. Good luck.

Yeah, you have a fuel leak internal to the plenum. If you pull off the upper plenum and energize the fuel pump, it should be very evident where the fuel is coming from.
