What the heck are these i found them in the back of my owners manual

I would imagine the alphanumeric code tells the dealer how to make replacement keys for you without messing with a locksmith or the ignition tumblers.

The plugs are the part of the key near the top where the key ring goes through. Those are old school...you had to remove the plugs before you could put the keys on a ring.

not that old school our 99 astro van had those in the keys when we bought it, well nvm 99 aint that new anymore ill shut up now lol
