Default Knocking Noise

I have a 92 s10 blazer2wd 4.3L TBI, thats making a knocking noise. It knocks in reverse and sometimes in neutral, when going around turns, and when taking off from a complete stop (the knocking will get louder as I accelerateand than just stop)I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what this could be, maybe something loose or if it sounds mechanical. Appreciate all your help

Can you give us a clue as to where the sound is coming from?

My thoughts exactly. Is it only when in gear or can it be heard when revving the motor in neutral/park?

Also, is this a manual or automatic transmission?

It sounds like it is coming from underneath the truck from the front seats forward. It only does it when it is in gear- always in reverse, when accelerating and when accelerating in a turn. It is an automatic. The tranny was replaced about 3 to 4000 miles ago with a tranny that had around 160,000 miles. I appreciate all your responses, its makin me nervous cause I have to drive about a 100 miles to my unit every month and I dont want it breakin down on the way there or back. Again thanks for any help, really appreciate it

I had a fly wheel which magically became loose from the torque converter. Sounded like grrrrrrrrrrr like metal on metal.when I would through into reverse I would hear it. Started out not to bad but became more and more noticable. I would check this especially since you say your tranny was replaced not long ago. Bolts are probably loose (3 of them). If you let this go you flywheel holes will widden out and then your looking at flywheel replacement.

Good catch PERU MOTORS.
