Default New here. 1991 S10 Blazer 4x4 2 door (4x4 light and speaker issue)

Hey guys and gals.
(pic is attached)
Just purchased this 1991 Chevy 2 door s10 blazer. I used to have a jimmy the same year and loved it but unfortunately the frame rusted away on me and i had to sell it. so i found this one in great shape and got a great deal on it. It has its problems but not too bad for being 26 years old. I have already changed valve cover gaskets, trans fluid and filter change and an oil change.
I have a list of other things i need to do but they are pretty easy and i dont need help on those. Ive been around the shop for a while now. Anyways...
Here are the two things i need some assistance on.

The 4x4 indicator light says im in 4x4 low when im in 2wd. If I switch to 4x4 low or high the light goes out and wont switch to high or low. The little diagram next to it will light up but the indicator will not. Once I go back to 2wd the light will stay off for about 5 minutes and then it will go back to saying im in 4x4 low. (The 4x4 works high and low. I tested it)

The other issue is I need new speakers. What size are they? Im pretty sure the rear 2 are 6x9's but what are the front ones that are in the dash? im guessing something like 4x4's? Not sure.

Any help is appreciated!!!

the front speakers are 4x6. Make sure they're shallow mount to. The rear speakers are actually 6x8,weird I know. The 6x9 wills work, just make sure they're shallow. Don't worry much about the brackets matching up as the magnet will stick to the hull of the cab.

There are aftermarket speaker grills available for the S10 that adds additional mounting depth to the rear speakers. I custom made mine from a OEM speaker grill and plywood to fit Pioneer 6 Way 6X9 speakers.

Thanks for the info. I found these on amazon. The reviews say they will fit in the stock locations. Hopefully they are right. Im using the stock radio so these should be good enough.
