no fire on 91 blazer
Having a problem. I cant seem to get a 91 4.3 z motor to fire. It has spark. Fuel pressure. New cap+rotor. Module. Plugs and wires less then 1 year old. Motor itself has less then 10,000 miles on it.
It wont even fire with starting fluid.
Got a clue sure would like to read it.

It takes air, fuel, and spark to start an engine. Assuming you have air, then you're missing one or both of the other two. What are your fuel pressure figures? What 'module' are you referring to? Does it crank at all, but just not turn over? Have you double-checked the connections on the plug wires?

Double check your new cap and rotor. The rotor will only go on one way, but check it anyway. Check to make sure the cap is in its proper position. Also double check that you've got the spark plug wires back in the proper spots, and the coil wire properly seated.
I say these because you said your getting spark, and you've used starting fluid, so that tells me is probably out of timing sequence, and if you've only changed those two items, go back to them.
I had mine apart just yesterday, put it all back together, go to start and it won't. I cranked several times in disbelief. I go back and look, I did not put the coil wire back on, duh. Amazing what one little wire can do.

Also, I should include this vechicle did not fire before the new parts. Fired one cold night but not the next. Would be concerned of frozen lines, but I can see a nice spray comming through the portsand I have perfect psi. Plus not even starting fluid is igniting.

Almost sounds like the distributor is 180* out.

Could the rotor have been incorrectly assembled?
Almost sounds like the distributor is 180* out.
EDIT:
Nope, W and Z VIN codes have exact same rotor button. Do you have AIM? hit me up on it if you do, my s/n is camaro327rs

It has to be the timing then... Sounds like the timing is advanced a good bit. get a timing light and check the timing. I think initial timing shouldnt be any more than 8* Do some searching on the site, get the info, and she will fire right up!
