OBD code 12 (california)
FINALLY, got truck to have it smogged (did not pass-i knew it) failed ignition timing 5 atdc, and failed OBD systems check. so far reset timing ( per advice from previous post ). oh yeah, checked codes fist before doing timing and got 12, 13, 42 (california ) then corrected timeing, and now just have 12 can u explain?

Code 12 is just to show it is in diagnostic mode and all codes are clear

that would be nice, but you figure everyone with a code on will just clear the light and pull the fuse so they can get smogged. im lucky where i live they dont have emissions for my old junks
