I got a 1990 blazer with an electric rear windsheild. The glass will go down, but not straight and i have to manipulate it. I have the parts to fix it but the problem is a cant get the tailgate to drop. I pull on the handle and it stays closed like its locked. I do understand that there is some safety device installed to lock the gate when glass is up. I have the rear access panel off and can see the two door striker bars moving but the release will not drop it. Any suggestions or has anyone run into this problem.
