so My '94 Blazer (vortec engine) started idling like **** today, and it was fighting to stay idling while at a stop. it does drive but like ****. so I did a quick look over, oil was a little low added some, nothing happened. after I added the oil I noticed a light plume of smoke coming from the left side engine, I cant exactly pinpoint where its coming from but it looks tobe from the Cylinder Head. oh and the "service Engine soon" light came on when it first happened, then after I added the oil it went off. I also had a rotten egg smell coming into the cabin. so when it gets gas it goes but it does seem to have lost some power.

so anybody might have any insight as to what it might be?? I have a feeling I blew a head gasket.

 

rotten egg smell is usually an indication of a bad catalytic converter.
