Default Timing advance question

Okay so I am trying to do the timing on my blazer. I do not know what degree mark it should be at. Should it be 10 degrees BTDC? I also need to know which wire I am suppose to disconnect before I can set it, is it the tan wire going to the number 11 pin on the ecm? And what should the idle speed be at? Should it be around 950 RPM? Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Well I believe I found all my info. It should be at 6 degrees BTDC for a manual transmission and 10 degrees BTDC for an automatic. The tan wire for the est bypass is connected to the coil so I am just going to disconnect it there since I cannot find it inside the cab. The idle speed should be at 1,000 RPM for a manual transmission and 750 RPM for an automatic. Below is a page I found with the specs for 1983-1993. Hope this info helps others.
