vin not matching body
hi. i have just recently purchased my first s10 blazer, was told by the seller "the title was done wrong and says its a 92, but the truck is a 94" ive done some more looking into it and the body is in fact a 94, but when i run a check on the vin, it comes back saying its a 92, and that the last time it was serviced it had 140k ish miles on it, but the odometer on the dash reads just under 72k, the vin is 1GNCS13W7N2206898. im wondering if its possible that the vin has been tampered with or changed? is there anywhere to look for the vin other than the window? to check that it matches? i was also told by the seller it was purchased from a police auction so that further raises my suspicions. any help is appreciated

Already checked the door jams. Thank you for the link. I'll check the locations listed on there when i get home today. Id like to get this figured out before I register it And license it which I was planning on tonight. Thank you for the quick response.
