Where can I get an oem tailgate handle?!
The tailgate handle broke off of my 93 Bravada. I replaced it with one of the dorman help! handles. It is slightly different but I just wanted a working handle. It worked well for about a week but wouldn't lock on its own which was slightly annoying. A couple days ago I went to open the gate and the handle turned all the way to the right and would not catch. I know something has come apart on the inside, as the replacement handle just barely caught the rod inside the gate to begin with. I decided I wanted to just look for an original because I don't want to have to constantly open the interior panel to fix this problem. I know I could go to the junkyard but at this point it's not very convenient. So I looked on a gm parts site and they did not have this piece listed anywhere. On the diagrams/illustrations where they show the parts and give the part number the handle was in the diagram but did not have a part number on it. Why?! I imagine this part is needed quite a bit. Why can't I find one anywhere?! Does anyone know where I can get one without going to a junkyard?
Heres the diagram.... Notice how the handle is there but not acknowledged as something you can purchase.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

be suprised what you can find on ebay, but is this handle a linkage problem or did it actually break?

Yes! Both of these sites have what I'm looking for! I got discouraged after my searches came back with nothing but the Dorman handle. Thanks so much. The problem with the original handle is that it broke off in my hand. The problem with the replacement is a linkage issue because it's not an oem part. Thanks again!

You can get the lock rekeyed at a locksmith to your original. Used to get them done at the dealership parts counter for free but some won't do it anymore because hey say the mechanics were being cheated out of money

I would also say go to LMCTRUCK.com.
