Default 1996 blazer help please

I got a new rad put in and I was driveing and heard a pop.Engin light came on and oil guage went to 0.I pulled over and it quit running.I lifted the hood and bottom line on driverside of rad was off and oil all over. The line I think runs down buy the filter so is that a oil line that runs into the rad? Iam going to call the place I got the rad put in and see what they say I think they didnt put the line in right.I stop as soon as i could so did I hurt the motor running with no oil.I would like to have an ideal before I call them. Thanks if you can help me.

Yes, that is the oil cooler line. If you pulled over and shut it off right away, there probably isn't anything to worry about, but the shop that replaced the radiator should be made aware of the situation.

sounds like the retaining clip popped off. Not the most fun to play with. Really depends on how long it ran without oil. Sometimes you will be good and sometimes bad news. Is it one of the lines at the bottom of the radiator? Yea, i would call them and tellt hem what happened. If they did not put the retaining clips back in or get the line to seat properly, then they are at fault.

These lines just don't pop out. Sounds like it wasn't installed properly. The shop that put it in for you should be responsible. Do not back down! You paid them to replace the radiator correctly.

About what damage was done... If the engine died on its own, that is typically very bad news.

Thanks for the help guys.I called and they are going to pick it up and look at it.When the line came off it broke one of the fins on the fan and the cover around the fan and theres marks on the rad but the rads not leaking that I could see.But I was talking to a friend and he said even if they fix whats broke and put oil in it and its runs that the motor might not last to long because it ran with no oil in it and than died.Is he right if so I dont think I can get them to put another mortor in it.

Yeah, I'm afraid that would be a tough fight to win.
