I have a 1996 blazer that lost power all power. I changed battery had power going into the cab turned the key and everything went dead no lights engine no radio no power going in whatsoever. We check the main cables replaced the battery starter cables no luck.... Iv been looking for the fuseable links and are having a hard time locating then. Any helpfull ideas. Im running out of things to check and this vehical is my only way of getting to work.................

Not sure but I think I remember some fuse-ables over on the pass side by the abs. Really just a guess....anybody else?

On the back side of the alternator where the big hot wire to the battery goes, there also are 2 wires coming off of there with fusible links.

Those 2 wires feed your vehicle with power.

There is also 1 more wire coming off the battery positive terminal with that disconnect, follow that towards the fender and there is a fusible link.

Behind your computer in the engine compartment is this big tube plug on the wiring harness by your PCM plugs. With your battery unhooked unplug that big tube style plug. You may notice there as some melted terminals inside there. Not sure what they go to, I just know it's common for them to melt and there's some heavy red wires to/from that plug.

 

Those two wires that channel the power were do they connect to? The alternator one or both? We replaced the alternator before the problem started and not sure if those wires are hooked up properly. I think your on the right track just need the proper wiring....
