Hi all,,i have change the fuel pump and regulator + fuel filter,,,for some reason after i change my regulator the engine would stall @ idle, but okay when driving???any input would be apreciated,,thank you

 

Just because parts are new doesn't guarantee that they're good. Recheck fuel pressure and leakdown, this thread tells you how to check it: https://blazerforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45941

If it's OK, the Idle Air Controller, (IAC) might need to be reset with a capable scan tool.

 

Thanks for reply,,yes check fuel pressure and leakdown all is good.....i don`t have a capable scan tool and yes i have not reset this,i have an OBD2 TekLink,,,my guess his time to bring it in a shop..

when i change my fuel regulator i did Not replace any gaskets,they seem okay,,,should i get new gaskets and O rings and re-due the job?thanks

one more? if i disconect battery will it reset the Idle Air Controller?thanks for all your help

 

Always a good idea to replace the gaskets and O rings when removing the plenum along with using the correct tightening sequence and torque specs. Disconnecting the battery will not reset the IAC. It requires a bidirectional scan tool to access the IAC reset function.
