Default 1999 Blazer driver window not working

Hi,

Got another problem with our 99 Blazer 2-door that I hope someone can help us with. The drivers side window quit working today. The passenger side window works fine, using either the drivers or passenger control switch.

The drivers side switch just goes "click, click, click" if you hold it down, no movement with the window.

I've checked all the fuses but non appear to be blown.

Any suggestions on where to start or what the cause might be?

Thanks!!

Did you remove the passenger switch and put it in the drivers side? I'm not familiar with the 2dr model but I haven't seen a vehicle that the passenger side switch will roll up the driver side window (not to be insulting). However, they may be interchangeable. You can test it this way to see if it is the switch or not. But if it is clicking I would say it's the window motor, regulator or a broken/loose cable. Pull the door panel and check. You may have to pull the working side to see how it operates to be able to identify what may not be working on the driver's side.

No, I havent done anything yet, havent had any time. Probably will get to taking things apart tomorrow. Didnt know the passenger switch might work on the driver's side, will have to check that out.

I think I can hear a faint click of the motor when I push the switch, which would make me think either the motor or actuator has seized up.
