Default 2000 GMC Jimmy Spark Plugs

I am new to this site and I have been looking around trying to find where the thread is about the spark plug on the 4.3 engines. I cannot seem to find it again. Anyway I am having a hard time getting the one plug by the steering, out. I know that its been posted on here because this is where I read it. So if anyone could link me to the thread that I need I would really appreciate it. I tried the search thing and it brought nothing up.

well, you can turn the steering wheel until you get the flat spot on the steering shaft. Also, you can try using a standard 5/8 socket and a long swivel attachment. that should get it loose enough to get it out.

thank you very much... Whomever designed the setup for the plugs on this engine needs to spend the rest of their lives doing nothing but changing the plugs. But yeah thank you and you live 10 mins from me.

We all have had the same issues with the plugs, the best way I have found is to go through the wheel wells and use extensions. For the #3 plug I used a 5/8 spark plug socket with a flexible joint. And I got a piece of 3/8 fuel line cut to 6 inches to install the plugs (trick I learned from a tune-up mechanic) it fits over the insulator of the plug and stops/reduces the risk of cross threading a plug in the head...
