Default 2001 Chevy Blazer ODB II question

Good morning, I had my "ServiceEngine Soon" light reset about 350 miles (6 days)ago. I went to get an inspection sticker and I saw on the machine where it is connected to OBD in my truck that 3 items were "not ready" to be tested.1) EVAP, 2)Secondary Air Injection and 3) Oxygen Sensor Heater.

Ok, can someone explain to me what adrive cycle is and how long it takes to get these codes to be ready.

I also, heard from a Chevy Dealer here in MA that if you have 2 codes that are not ready you can pass inspection. Is that true?

I don't understand the whole 'not ready' thing. When I had my latest inspection I saw that on a couple of items, but all codes had been cleared prior to that and it passed.

That's just it, I have no Faully codes. On the mechanics computer that read Engine Idle, RPM, etc.....under EVAP, Secondary Air Injection and O2 heater Sensor it says to ready to be tested. I was told to drive it through a few "drive cycles" Problem is I have driven the car 450 miles and it still has not reset the computer.

In Mass. if you have an "S" on your sticker, that means that you only were tested forsafety the last time you needed a sticker. The next sticker you go to get will be for "ES" for Emissions and Safety.

If you have "not ready" under emissions testing while just going for safety, then they will let you pass. If you are going for Emissions too, then you need to get the OBD Computer to read pass everywhere and have no "not ready" codes.
