Default 4.3 engine hesitation issues

I've been having engine hesitation issues with my 96 4.3 blazer since last summer. What happens is when it is humid out, the motor will hesitate slightly at idle and continue thru the power band. Last summer the "service engine" light came on so I took it to a local shop. They hooked up a trouble code diagnosis and told me that I needed new plugs and wires. I had both these replaced and was ok untill weeks later when it got humid out. I did not replace the distributor cap because I it replaced 3 yrs. ago along with a new fuel pump. I'm thinking of replacing the dis. cap because of the humidity issues. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
