can i put the 4.3 out of my 99 jimmy 4x4 into my 2001 2wd blazer without having any oil pan fitment issues? really not liking the dealers price of 250 with the gasket..

I don't think you should have any problems, but you will want to compare things while you have it out. If you do not have the original oil pan, check out s10warehouse on eBay. I'm sure he'll have one.

sry about double posting..from what ive gatherd the 4x4 oil pan just hangs lower in order to make room for the front diff im currently in the process of the swap and was also wondering if i could eliminate the remote oil filter n cooler setup in favor of just the conventional filter to block type set up if so could i use a standard small block oil filter adapter?

You should be able to unbolt the remote adapter and bolt up the proper oil filter adapter into the location in the block. A standard small block adapter should work.
