So I went out with the future brother in law looking for mud...

The road we went to was closed, so naturally we went looking elsewhere...

We found some water/mud mixture and decided to play a bit... well after throwing some mud, I pull into it and was about to put her in 4 hi and throw more mud, but before I could switch it in, while in the mud/watery stuff, I hear this LOUD noise from my back end...

I can not explain it, other than it WAS NOT a clunk, and did not sound like breaking but like a WHOOP! and it made the noise twice, I was thinking that the exhaust was in the water/mud and made noise, but the 5 mile highway trip back was normal with no sign of damage....

I was just curious to what the sound could be... also heard some very slight clunks/pops while in town, but they were no louder than mud falling off the bottom... and yes, pictures are not availablle..... I can get some of my blazer, but the damn mudflaps work TOO good...

 

mine makes some weird noises after getting out of the mud. especially in the brakes. just make sure to clean it up nice when you get a chance. especially those brakes.

 

Just blew about 6 bucks in quarters getting her clean... that was just the underbody... next time I go, I am taking a jack and jack stands to work with... she still aint 100% clean... but the noise, I think had to be with water and the exhaust because I have been unable to replicate the noise...
