Default 97 Blazer not starting-no dash power or ecm power

This problem just started. my blazer will not start. it will turn over with no problem, but the gauges are not getting power and the fuel pump is not primming. the ECM1 and guage cluster is not getting power at the fuse block. there is a ECM batterty fuse that is hot at all times coming from the battery and it is hot. the stereo and a/c do come on when the key is in the on position.
there are no fuses that are blown. there is not a check engine light that is on.
could this be a bad ignition switch? is there a relay between the key switch and the fuse block?
i put in a new fuel pump a year and a half ago and there has not been any other electrical problems with the blazer.
appreciate any help.
the battery has good contacts and is in good condition.

Sure sounds like an ignition switch problem. There are no relays between the ignition switch and the fuses you stated.

replaced the ignition assembly. $125 at NAPA, not bad. i will have to give it a few days and see if there are any other problems. what is funny is the the guy there did not want to sell me the part and instead wanted to sell me relays.

So did the new ignition switch solve the problem?

Thumbs up

looks like the ignition assembly fixed the problem. i have started it a couple dozen times and no problems. in fact, it starts faster on the first turn over of the engine.
