I have a 4wd 99 blazer that had been driven very little for 1 1/2 years because I had a company car.

It developed 4WD issues for several months finally resulting with it being locked into 4Lo, until I tried removing and cleaning the switch assy. with a pencil eraser and contact cleaner. After that the truck seemed ok for a few days. I drove it around town a couple of times and all was well.

A couple of weeks later, after driving it about 10 min. and shutting the truck off for about 10 min., it wouldn't start. It would crank ok, lots of gas in the tank etc.. but just wouldn't start. After disconnecting the battery for approx. 10 min. and reconnecting it, the truck would start. This happened twice in one day.
A couple of days later, the truck died on me, dead in the street after running for about 10 min. I parked the blazer for 2 days along the side of the street and when I returned, it started and ran the 2 mi. to home just fine.

I charged the battery a few weeks later because it was dead. The blazer started up ok and I let it run for 5-10 min. When I shut it off and tried to re-start it, it would not start. There is no check eng. light and I don't have a code reader. Anyone run into this before? Could all of the 4WD trouble fried the TCCM? I remember reading in a post on 4WD issues that disconnecting the battery for 10 min. would reset the TCCM.
Any help would be greatly appericated.
