ABS problem when stopping at low speeds
I just bought a sharp 4dr 2000 Blazer w/4.3, and love it except for one problem. There is an ABS sound when I step on the brake at low rolling speeds, and the brake also pulsates. The ABS error light does notcome onwhen this happens.

RE: ABS problem when stopping at low speeds
This is most likely caused by a dirty ABS sensor on one of the front wheels. A chaffed or broken wire could trigger the ABS as well, but is less likely. The use of metallic brake pads can sometimes accelerate the contamination of the ABS sensor(s).
I would recommend that inspect the wiring to the ABS sensor, then, if nothing is found, remove the front ABS sensors at the wheel (have to remove the brakes) and clean the sensor as well as the toothed ring down in the wheel bearing.

I had the same problem intermittently and found a damaged wire on the right front sensor. Kyle is right-on...

Thanks for the reply, you were correct about the ABS problem.
I found grease on the right front sensor. Someone packed the bearing a little to carelessly, and grease was allowed to get to the ABS gear which threw it onto the sensor.
