Default AC/ Heater Vent elec. actuator

Good Morning,

I just removed my elec. actuator because it was bad. I decided to test my new part before I completely installed. I plugged up the power supply and started my truck and I watched as it turned one direction. Now I'm assuming if I turn my ac on and change it to heat and vice versa, this actuator would turn the other direction, depending on AC or heat.

Should this Actuator have bilateral movement depending on AC or Heater control changes?

Thanks
