Antifreeze leak
Let me start by saying awsome site. Ok i have a 2000 Blazer/Trailblazer and its leaking antifreeze. I can't find where its comming from or where its going. I know there are some problems with the freeze plugs but i can't find a leak. Sometimes when i start it up i can smell the anifreeze. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Antifreeze leak
Try going to the auto parts store and getting the tube of dye that shows up like mad under a blacklight. All you do is add it to your coolant and drive it for 20 or 30 minutes. Go back to the garage in the dark, use a black ligt bulb, and see where your new leaks are. If you put it in and check it right away, there should be no question as to where it is leaking from. There are other methods that are cheaper (like standing over the hot engine compartment with a flashlight for an hour) but this method is quick and easy. The only drawback is if it is a tiny leak, it may take a while for it to appear. I have done this several times looking for minute cracks on heads and blocks. For future reference, if you ever end up having to take a motor apart, you can try this process and drain all fluids just before disassembly, use your light, and can see heavy concentrations of dye where there may be cracks. I don't know if that works for you but food for thought.
