Default Clunk when turning right

When i turn right sometimes sharp, sometimes not as sharp but about half turn there is a loud clunk from under the front driver side, sometimes when i brake. I also feel a "shift" in the truck a little bit. I just replaced the outer tie rod on that side (was bad anyway) and lower ball joint on other side due to it squeaking. When i look at the wheel it moves with the popping noise, it's hard to tell but it either is bringing the bottom in or the back of the wheel in, but immedeatly goes back. Please help, this is driving me nuts...

And when in the air the wheel doesn't budge when pulled, pushed, or anything

get someone to turn the steering with you under the truck you should pin point where its coming from

from a wild guess it sounds like a ball joint
but id rather find the problem then guess right ?

it doesnt do it when sitting still, and being under the truck while in motion proves challenging...

id check the upper and lower a arm bolts make sure there tight also check the shock bolts i had one loose and it made a clunking sound. if it clunks when you turn sharp it could be a CV joint and that's normal

I'll check the bolts, The CV axel would make sense but i only hear the clunk once. My past experiance is it does it repeatedly.

Well what fun are you!! lol

But i would also guess the CV. yes it can make a continuous clunking sound but it can also make one. i would look at the boot to see what shape its in first. if its cracked or theres a bunch of grease around it then that might give you a hint also

there is grease being splattered around, Looks like when they spin it is slung off. When I tug on them they are pretty solid. With grease like it is they will need replaced soon anyway.

the grease maybe from the upper ball joint not the cv boot. check the boots for tears if there aren't any then there prob good.

dont seem to be tears in the boots for the ball joints. The grease is defiantly coming from the CV axel's boot. I heard something about the torsion bar crossmember casueing a symptom like this. Anyone know how to tell if it is that or not?
