Sorry, swartlkk, I was too stuck it was the sensor it self. Since my light went out I am going to let it go for a while. Other wise, How do you check exhaust leaks?
whoareyou4, what is a MAF sensor? Where is it located?

My MAF sensor is between the air filter box and the throttle body, in the intake tube I guess. I am just making the assumption that you may have one, it seems not all cars do.
My Saturn's don't have one.
If you have one i would guess you would find it in the air intake there should be an electrical connection.
There are others who know much more about these vehicles then I do, but what i do know is that sometimes a code lead to something not obvious.

All 96 thru current s-series 4.3L engines have a MAF sensor.

The MAF sensor will be in the intake duct between the filter and the throttle body. It is attached to the filter box.

As far as checking for exhaust leaks, I use an old stethoscope with a bent piece of metal tubing on the end, the end of which is crushed shut. I trace this around all of the exhaust gasket locations listening for rushing air.

Well, I can't believe it was 2 years ago that I started this post. Coming back on a different computer. After 2 years my light came on, and I took it ti Auto Zone to get a code and then I came back and saw that I had that same code again. There is now 75,150 miles on my vehicle. What would take 2 years and it appears 14,000 mile later to set off the light again?

I got the same code again, didn't do anything about it last time. Now have about 90,550 miles. Went about 15,000 miles and less than 1.5 years. Getting my wife to drive it to work which now it would be getting more miles on it in a shorter period of time. I believe I let it go this time again.
