weird noise from breaks

Default weird noise from breaks

i have a 2dr 4wd 2000 blazer. i recently replace my breaks and today when i stop at the red light, i heard a really weird noise coming from the front left side. i realized it it does it when im going slowly and breaking. the sound is like pad is stick to the rotor and doesnt want to let go. can anybody help me plz

Have you checked your brakes? You could have worn pads. It may be normal wear or you may have a problem with the caliper sliders.

pads and the rotors are brand new

the mechanic didnt tightened up one of the screws on the pad so it was moving when i push the brakes

I hope you replaced the caliper mounting bolts when you did the brake job and used anti-sieze as well! sounds like a possible caliper problem,but if you say the pads are moving...but I still suspect a caliper issue! Easy swap! Good luck! step66

Just replaced the rear rotors and pads two weeks ago. One of the caliper bolts was seized and it broke off had to replace the caliper bracket. I also had to replace the caliper since it was seized as well. Ask your new mechanic to check the caliper bolts. Think I paid 9 bucks for a set of new ones and lubed them up good!
