Default Gas gauge fluctuation

2000 4WD
70k miles
LS trim

I actually have a few different questions but I'm posting them individually in hopes of getting specific replies.

This one's simple: What would cause my gas gauge to jump once it's below half a tank? It's not a huge deal because I just reset my trip odometer and fill up when it hits 300-350 miles. Is this a quick fix such as a fuse, or am I talking replacing the entire cluster?

Default RE: Gas gauge fluctuation

More like the fuel sending unit and everything will be normal. One of the best things I ever did - comes at a cost of about $600-700 installed. Labour intensive.
