Thumbs up Heater Core in 2000 Blazer,,,

How hard is it to swap out a heater core? Its a 2000 Blazer 2wd 2 door,, I had an issue with low heat when cold,, well I tested my radiator cap and it would not even get to 2 psi,, well I flushed (well drained the block & radiator) put in new anti-freeze, 195 theromstat and a new cap,, well before all this the truck never seemed to get up to normal temp on the gauge,, afterwards it goes to 205ish now on the gauge,, and heat was fantastic!! Well until the junk floating around clogged the heater core. So now I will flush the heater and that should help,, and you now it will clog again,, so always check the basic`s. So do I have to pull the dash to do this? Thanks as always,, Matty man

Just wondering.. did you try reverse flushing the core? That's the only way to do it.

But if you're going to replace the core do a proper flush on the entire system
