Wiring Issues
I have a 96 blazer, 4wd, not sure why this is happening. When I bought it, the windshield wipers and the turn signal flashers were not working. So I was just looking, not doing anything yet, saw some hot wires just dangling near the dash on the driver side. I dont know where they came from, so I capped and taped them for safety reasons, until I get further into repair. So now, something in the truck is draining the battery. Wasnt doing it before I taped the wires, but is now. Untaped the wires, they are still loose now, but the battery is still being drained. I have to unhook the battery every night to keep it charged. I tried continuity tests and nothing. My turn signal fuse blows immediately everytime its replaced. Not really doing much with the wipers at this point just trying to get to the bottom of the battery/wiring issue. Does anyone have ANY suggestions at all???

You have to determine what circuit(s) is/are at fault. Get yourself a DMM or other suitable device to read the amp draw of a circuit. Pull all of the fuses and put them in one at a time with the ammeter hooked in series with the positive or negative battery terminal. Write down the reading from each circuit at the following increments, initial reading, 1 minute, 5 minutes, and 10 minutes. I'm not sure how many systems on a '96 go to sleep mode, but there may be a few which is the reason for the 5 & 10 minute readings.
The lowest power state shouldn't draw more than 0.05A (50mA).
