Default High rpm at Idle

Hello,
Just wondering, what would cause 1200 rpm idle? O2 sensor or I did have a code for a low voltage error for my throttle position sensor.
Anybody have some suggestions?
Thanks

Probably engine needs to know when the throttle is closed before it will adjust idle down with the IAC motor.

Alrighty then, thank you Guys!
Hey Les, here are the codes I pulled up this morning...
p1122 throttle position sensor circuit (intermittent low voltage)
p1406 exhaust gas recirculation position sensor performance

I recently pulled the egr valve and cleaned and blow it out with air.
Sprayed it with cleaner first.

Later Guys

Both of the codes you mentioned are listed here. Read the descriptions and especially the diagnostic aids. Then it will become apparent which PIDs you can monitor using Dash Command to help identify the problem. I believe you should have TPS and both commanded and actual EGR position in Dash Command. Please ask any questions that you might have. Good luck!

ps. if EGR was stuck open, that could cause a high idle and also could set a P1406.

At work now but later I may need to call on ya to setup some gauges on dash commander. It's been a while since I've done any gauges...
Thx

Okay, installed a new Throttle position sensor. Wow, what a nice difference that made. It didn't completely correct my issues but it helped greatly!
I also had a lot of shaking due to bad rotors on the front. I replaced those also.
It smoothed my braking so nice...should have done that a year ago.
Best money I've spent in a long time!!

Hey, one more question for now. If the "IAC" were to begin to go bad, It wouldn't affect anything at highway speeds would it?
