Hinge Spring
Hey all,
Still waiting to get my 4x4 switch to see if that fixes my dead 4x4. I have another question. My drivers side door lower hinge pin is worn as well as the pin which holds the grooved bracket for the hinge spring. I can fing the hinge pins but no pins for the hinge spring bracket. Its has lots of play and clacks in and out when I close and open the door. Any suggestions?

RE: Hinge Spring
I don't believe that the detent pins are replaceable. I do think that the roller is held on by either a single use retention washer or a C-clip. If its a C-clip, then you may be able to grab a new roller, but if your pin is facked up, then you are pretty much S.O.L.
If/When you attempt the hinge pins, get the proper tool for the hinge spring. That spring has a butt load of strength and, although it may pop out easy, it doesn't go back in that way. I had a terrible time getting my spring back in. The proper tool can be purchased from Eastwood.com for under $20 and makes it MUCH easier of a job. Specifically, it is the Light Truck Door Hinge Spring Tool and I will be purchasing it before I have to do my passenger door.
