Horrible front end suspension squeaking under braking or deceleration
So, my daughters 96 Blazer has a horrible squeaking coming from the front end on the drivers side. This squeak only happens under braking or deceleration, and sometimes when turning. It's not a rotational squeak, it's a suspension squeak. Like you can hear every movement of the suspension over bumps in the road when you brake. The car has all new brakes, rotors, the bearings are good, ball joints are tight. I put a new axle in this weekend to fix some thumping, and I was hoping that this might fix the squeak but it is still there. It does look like it needs upper control arm bushings, but the control arm still seems to be tight when I check it.
Does anyone have any ideas what might cause this? Sway Bar bushings? Sway bar end links? Control arm Bushings? Shocks? Something to do with the Torsion Bars?
I don't want to just throw parts at this until I find the problem. The squeak is so loud you can hear it from a block away.
Thanks for your help
