ABS intermittent issue
I did a few searches but I think I may be the only one with intermittent issues with my ABS... If the ABS light comes on the ABS doesn't engage but when off, they work fine It started off once in a while, light comes on and then turns off no big deal but now its becoming more and more constant. I think I'm losing my ABS, My brakes are putting out alot of Dust do you fellas think it could be just a dirty sensor and how would I go about cleaning it? or is it as bad as I thought and the ABS module is shot... any input would be great thanks guys

Cleaning a WSS is fairly easy once you get the brakes off. When you spin the hub, the mV-AC voltage needs to be around 300mV-AC.
I would also inspect the wiring for signs of damage.

My ABS light does that too sometimes... Especially after high water and/or lots of mud or sand. I just simply pulled the wheel speed sensors and cleaned off the grime that tends to build up on them. After that the light seems to stay away but it will momentarily show itself now and then. I do know that my ABS works but I believe it will not when the ABS light is on.

Well I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem and that it is relatively easy to remedy, I need to change my pads out anyway cause they're squealing like little pigs when I brake. What would you all recommend for light off-road duty and low dust/noise for a 2000 Blazer LS 2dr, 4wd?
... I almost forgot, How should i go about cleaning the ABS sensors and what should I use on them? I have never torn into a newer car Ive only worked on the nightmare of drum brakes on my 73 Dart haha

I just pull the sensors and wipe them off with a soft cloth like my t-shirt. As far as pads go, don't buy the super cheapo ones.
