Default I need some help with my 4x4

I have a 2001 2dr blazer Ls 5 speed, the 4wd doesn't work, when i push the button for either 4hi or 4lo it makes a sound like the actuator is engaging but there is no power going to the front wheels, also when I shift it into 4lo the engine goes down in rpm's and acts like it is in 4lo but there is still no power going to the front wheels. I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me.

Thanks,
Jeff

This has been covered many times in the past. You likely have a problem with the vacuum actuator or some aspect of its operation.

I looked at the 4wd actuator and the battery tray was slanted down, which caused it to rest on top of the actuator so the 4wd cable got disconnected, it was as simple as reconnecting the cable. Wish I would of thought of asking you guys a year ago when I first lost my 4wd. Thanks for all your help I appreciate it... One more question, what is the easiest and cheapest way to get more ground clearance on my blazer?

The only thing is that I heard the doing the T-bar causes the ball joint and front end to wear faster
