Finally decided it was the cat so I looked for universal converters but after seeing how close the hanger was to the cat I was unsure. It was about a inch if that away. I went looking for universal replacements and almost everyone I found was 12" and the cat is 13.5". needless to say I bought a Walker y pipe locally for $220 and did it myself. A shop wanted $600 and that wasnt going to happen. Other than shearing the hardened bolts on the muffler it was pretty straight forward. I had to disconnect the halfshaft and remove the crossmember to remove the factory pipe. The bolts on the drivers side on the cross member were in the worst spot unless you have a body lift which I dont.
I have been driving the vehicle for a couple days now and it hasnt skipped a beat and it feels like I have much more power now.
