Default Need help changing fuel pressure regulator

Hello,
I have a 99 blazer LT 4.3L with a hard starting problem. The plugs get carbon fouled, runs ok on highway idles a little rough. Everything I've read points to the fuel pressure regulator. I can't seem to find instructions on how to change it. Is it located inside the manifold? Do I have to remove the manifold to change it? Is there a fuel injection gasket kit i need to purchase? I'm not a pro, but I'm not scared to get my hands dirty either.

thanks

I just recently replaced mine in a 2000 LS same motor. Its a little time consumming but not bad. The upper half of the manifold is plastic has about 9 bolts holding it on. the gasket is a o-ring type gasket and as long as evrything is clean you don't need to replace it. ( I didn't replace mine ) You will need to remove your throttle and cruise control cables to get them out of your way. the larg plug on the back/top of your intake is for your fuel injectors it has a clip to hold it on. when you go to slide the top off it will be a little tight around that plug area. just take your time and be gentle. the fuel pressure regulater is located on the back of the spider. hope this helps. Jim
