Right Rear Brake Line Leak

Question Right Rear Brake Line Leak

I have a road trip about 1 1/2 hr. drive tomorrow.
Little rubber line is leaking abit, do you think it will be safe to drive until I can get it fixed, it's to late today for fixing it.
Just about all country driving.
Won't the front brake still work ?
Here is a picture, or 2.
Pictures are after sitting about 11 hrs.

Don't drive it if you have any brake leaks. Those are high pressure hoses and they are not supposed to leak at all. If that goes, the brake pedal will go to the floor and you will have maybe 10% of your braking action. That is until the fluid in the master cylinder goes toward the leak and then you will have no brakes on the rear axle and very little force on the front. Accident waiting to happen. Don't drive it until you fix it. Hoses are not that difficult to replace or cheap for a shop to do it. If you have them replaced by a shop, have it towed there.
I have lost my brakes before twice in one weekend because a caliper failed and boiled the brake fluid (not a leak, but same effect) and trust me it isn't pleasant. I still get nervous any time my brakes act just a bit out of spec and that was a year ago when those incidents happened. I don't trust them and I brake very early all the time.
What kind of fitting is that anyway? That doesn't look OEM.

Update, it's gear lube from the overflow line, the other day I changed my gear lube, evidently I added a tad to much.

Oh. Where is the overflow tube by the way?

Just out of curiosity, how is it possible to add too much? It is just up to the fill port.

EDIT: You might want to replace that hose anyway. Oil + rubber = BAD. Especially where it is crimped. The rubber used in these hoses isn't the type meant to carry oil AFAIK. If you have more than 75-100k, you should consider replacing all of your hoses anyway. I had one collapse internally just after the front left caliper was replaced and it was almost literally on fire.

Up top of gas tank, I did put it up to the fill plug, but it still spit some out the overflow.
I took brake cleaner to it before I left on the trip, 95-97 degrees out, 3 hrs. drive, & it's dry in that area.

Thanks for the tip.

Brake cleaner is much much worse than gear oil. That stuff is BAD news for rubber. Most of the brake cleaners say right on the can to protect all rubber parts when using it. Replace that hose ASAP if you used brake cleaner on it. Easy and cheap if you know what you are doing.

With the lift, my pinion angle is about 7* with the Detroit Trutrac in there with 4.56 gears the amount of lube it holds must be a little different with the axle rotated.
It held just shy of 2 quarts, which must have been a bit to much.

The stock axle is 2 quarts. I am surprised yours doesn't take more than that.

4.56?!?! Plus huge tires? I am surprised you don't have problems with your trans with those mods. I bet your gas mileage isn't that good.
