2000 Blazer LS 4 Wheel Drive Problem
I just bought this 2000 Blazer LS. It is showing Service 4WD light and all lights are lite on 4WD switch. It also does not want to go in OD, real bad hesitation. Seems to do alright in 3, at least to 45mph just to get it home. Haven't checked anything on it yet. Figured I would get some ideas before wasting time looking randomly.
Thank you for reading and any resposes.

How many miles? Recommend servicing 4wd at least every 75,000(lube shop/dealership). As for OD shifting, service tranny fluid but more than likely you'll want to get it checked out by your local mechanic. Take it to someone you can trust cause the shops like to Jew us hard with these 2000's

113,000 miles. I can't afford to send to shop for fix, that's why i'm asking in here for help with this. Thanks anyway 2000LT4WD, but I need help diagnosing and fixing myself. Bought it for my son as a repair project for us to share.

Can you tell if the transfer case (TC) and front axle are in 4WD? With all the lites on the 4x4 buttons, something is wrong with the TC Control Module (TCCM)....and if in 4WD then trans will probably not go into 4th or OD....but not sure on that one....never tried it.
Would you be able to get the vehicle off the ground to determine if in 4WD?

Try spinning the front drive shaft by hand, it won't spin freely but it will spin if not engaged. You can try resetting the tccm by pulling the fuse (ATC I think) or disconnecting the battery for a while either way its a temporary fix. Let us know what you learn.
