s10 2.2l mass air flow sensor
Hello. Does it make a difference if I use a ported mass air flow sensor that come off a 2.2l S10 on a 2000 4.3l blazer? Thank.

It can because the computer is expecting to see a specific amount of airflow and the 2.2L MAF might not have the flow needed to keep the computer happy...also connectors might be different....

When it comes to MAF sensors, you have to make sure that their frequency response is the same given an equal flow rate of air across the flow range the 4.3L requires.
1st thing I'd check is to see if the MAF sensor is even the same size as the 4.3L MAF. The 4.3L MAF is the same one used on the 5.7L v8. Are you replacing it in hopes of gaining performance?

The 2.2l does not use a MAF sensor, it uses a MAP sensor that senses pressure in the intake, where the MAF measures the air flow into the motor. The 4.3l uses both sensors.
