Angry 2001 starting problem

2001 blazer : if sits overnight takes a shot of ether to start. After that will start if cranked over 2 times and release key. Only starts when key is released back to on position.

The key problem makes me believe your starter is weak, buddy of mine's blazer had the same issue and it continued to get worse until it wouldn't start we had to replace the starter last week.

I suggest you do the 96+ Fuel system diagnoses located in the DIY tech articles section of this forum,. Your fuel pump could be getting weak and what you describe is a common symptom.
