Default Stuck Lug Nut Stud and Stuck Tie Rod End

Driving a '95 s10 blazer. Trying to replace the outer tie rod ends. But I've hit a few problems. I did some searching around on the forums but I haven't found any answers to my specific kinda problem so here it goes.

When I was removing the lug nuts, two of them broke off. I tried desperately to hammer the broken studs out but they are rusted in pretty good. Is there some type of solvent or tool I could use to get these stuck studs out?

Also, I got all the way to the outer tie rod ends and used the tool to separate them. The issue now is that I cannot get the tie rod end to rotate so I can remove it from the adjusting sleeves. Same as the lug studs, they are rusted pretty well in place.

It looks like after I get the broken studs out and remove the old tie rod end, this will be an easy fix. I just need to get over this minor setback. Ah, college life.

Just a quick update from internet trolling. Its sounding like I need to get ahold of this PB Blaster. I tried WD40 but it has done nothing at this point. Although I'm having trouble finding this stuff.

Try any auto parts store for PB Blaster. Spray and let it sit for a bit. May have to spray a few times and wait a few hours, or more, depending on how bad the rust is.

When you get rusted tie rod ends you usually need heat to remove them, penetrating oil usually will not do it on its own. You could try using one of the small propane torches to heat it.

Same thing with the broken studs - spray them down with pentrating oil and hit them with some heat - have a hose handy in case it catches fire - an then hit them with the big hammer.

Thank you both for the advice. I picked up some PB blaster and two pipe wrenches and I'm going to try it that way. Unfortunately I don't really have the money to pick up a propane torch at the moment. Are there any other options I have aside from the propane torch?

Yea, PB blaster is on there but I still can't get either the tie rod end or the studs to budge.....

Keep spraying and give it time. I've yet to see anything that PB Blaster couldn't bust loose give time.
