Temperature not reading, heat not very hot
As the title says, my temp guage isnt reading at all and my heat isnt very hot. Anyone had this problem? Would it be worth throwing a new thermostat in?

The 2 most likely causes are thermostat or temp. sending unit. The thermostat is the most likely cause. You can take it out and check it with a thermometer and a pan of water on the stove but if you take it out you might as well replace it. Not a bad idea to check the new one against the old one with the thermometer. New ones can be bad sometimes.

If the temp reading were normal with low heat output I would have suspected low coolant level. But unless he has 2 problems at once it is likely the thermostat.
